It was brought to my attention, that it’s believed that the drivers line of sight was a factor in my sons death . After many trips to the site , while recording videos and taken picture from July 25, 2019 to present date. Using every scenario such as bright light from sun, wind blowing top of trees casting shadows on roadway, clouds causing glare or shadows, Trees, bushes, tall grass, poles, my list goes on.
After speaking with several experts who have known me since I was a child and many years experience on police force with countless wreck investigations they have agreed with me that the line of sight was not a considerable factor that lead up to my sons death.
Comments was made “someone has to be held accountable for your sons death.“ the crash occurred and was caused by the driver. That’s who is accountable For my son’s death.
Another issue that had been brought to my attention was a Facebook post of trees removed from the roadway off of Crumbaugh Road from the HOA. There was plenty of trees in this area. However, Being at wreck site and scanning everything with my own eyes , looking through pictures and videos none of those trees hanging or over grown is a factor of the line of sight for the driver.
the driver reported “ I stopped at stop sign on Crumbaugh Road observing traffic , I moved forward to roadway to gain better position to observe the roadway since it is difficult to see traffic coming from Georgetown. Later states observe a white passenger vehicle heading east on 460, if driver observed a white passenger vehicle the driver ” line of sight” is clearly not a factor, the driver would have not seen a passenger Vehicle. So what caused the driver not to see a bright yellow motorcycle traveling behind the white passenger vehicle?
The ending statement on report states that the driver made the judgment to proceed after a white passenger vehicle passed and the driver stated observers no other traffic and then seen a glimpse of a motorcycle and was struck.
I have given every benefit of doubt towards the driver. Later will discuss this issue. It’s clearly evident that there is no line of sight issue with this crash caused by non maintenance of trees bushes or grass from the HOA or State Highway maintenances.
basically driver negligence

my son was traveling West from Georgetown

This is an image that I took at the stop sign
sitting on Crumbaugh Road.
to the left you can see where HOA removes trees. definitely line of site here is a factor, However, driver clearly states moved from this point of roadway to end of roadway to observe traffic as it’s difficult to see traffic coming from Georgetown. in consideration there was a driver behind the driver. no statement was taken from this driver.

This image, I had a friend ride my deceased sons old motorcycle, going speed that witnessed observe my son traveling 50 mph in a 55 mph speed zone he was traveling west toward Paris, Kentucky followed behind my daughter using the police report to recreate the crash, trying to make sense of what really happened that lead up to my son losing his life. What happened in that split second? After that white passenger vehicle passed driver.

shows where my son applied his breaks to try and avoid the driver
the black spot behind vehicle is where impact occurred and reported that drive drug bike 10 feet before stopping
my son struck the vehicle and was thrown towards the left side of roadway
he died from blunt force trauma.

Gregory Sharon, 26, who worked at the Dan Cummins automobile dealership in Paris, was pronounced dead at 2:07 p.m. at Georgetown Community Hospital by Scott County Coroner John Goble. Sharon was married with a young child.
Police reports state a 2017 GMC Denali driven by Sabrina Schalnus was waiting at a stop sign at Crumbaugh and U.S. 460 (Paris Pike) at about 1:30 p.m. Schalnus was waiting for traffic moving towards Georgetown to pass when she pulled out, turning left towards Georgetown.
